第五屆港運會定於 2015 年 4 月 25 日至 5 月 31 日舉行，共設有八個比賽項目，包括：田徑、羽毛球、籃球、五人足球、游泳、乒乓球、網球及排球。各區區議會在 2014 年 6 月至 2015 年 1 月期間以公開選拔方式，在區內選出符合港運會參賽資格的優秀運動員代表該區參賽。

The 4th HKG will be held from 27 April to 2 June 2013. Eight sports competitions will be held, namely the athletics, badminton, basketball, futsal, swimming, table tennis, tennis and volleyball competitions. Each DC will select the talented athletes within its own district in an open manner as its representatives to participate in the competitions.
全港運動會簡介
為進一步推廣社區「普及體育」的文化，體育委員會自2007年起每兩年舉辦一屆全港運動會。全港運動會簡稱「港運會」，是一個以十八區區議會為參賽單位的全港大型綜合運動會。舉辦目的是在社區層面提供更多體育參與、交流和合作的機會，鼓勵市民積極參與體育運動，從而提升地區體育水平，增加市民對居住地區的歸屬感；同時促進十八區之間的溝通和友誼，加強社區的凝聚力。
Introduction to the Hong Kong Games
To further promote the “Sport for All” culture in the community, the Sports Commission has organized the Hong Kong Games biennially since 2007. The Hong Kong Games, or “HKG” for short, is a territory-wide major multi-sport event with the 18 District Councils (DCs) as participating units. The objectives of the HKG are to provide districts with more opportunities for sports participation, exchanges and co-operation, and to encourage active public participation in sports. Apart from improving sporting standards at the district level, the HKG can also strengthen the public’s sense of belonging to the district they live in and help promote community cohesion through facilitating communication and fostering friendship among the 18 districts.
